Yet Another Database Designer - the goal of the project is to develop a tool for designing relational databases. YAD_Designer is based on the entity relationship model (see Chen et al.) and is targeted on the use in educational environments.

YAD_Designer supports the following components of entity relationship modeling:

• entities (strong and weak entities)
• relationships (binary, recursive, n-ary)
• attributes (simple, composite, single-valued, multivalued)
• participation constraints (min-max-notation)
• roles
• specialization
• generalization
• aggregation

You may export your entity relationship diagrams to various vector and bitmap formats. Conversion from entity relationship schema to relational schema will be added soon.
